AnyMP4 iPhone Data Recovery recovers supported iPhone, iPad and iPod data from the device itself, iTunes backups or iCloud backups on Windows and Mac.
Quick Summary
AnyMP4 iPhone Data Recovery is built around three recovery routes: scan a connected iOS device, read an iTunes backup already stored on the computer, or sign in to iCloud and recover supported data from an available backup. It can preview recoverable items before export, which helps when you only need selected photos, messages, contacts, notes or other supported records.

Can This Software Do What I Need?
The right recovery route depends on whether the data still exists on the iPhone, is stored in an iTunes backup, or is available in iCloud.
I accidentally deleted photos or messages and still have the iPhone
Direct-device scan
SupportedConnect the iPhone by USB, unlock it, trust the computer and run a device scan. AnyMP4 can then show supported existing and deleted categories for selective recovery to the computer.
My iPhone is unavailable but I have an iTunes backup on this computer
Backup extraction without the device
SupportedRecover from iTunes Backup File can scan a stored backup, preview its supported categories and export selected items without first restoring the entire backup to an iPhone.
I need data from an iCloud backup instead of the phone
Cloud-backup recovery
SupportedSign in through the iCloud recovery mode, complete two-factor authentication when required, choose the available backup or data type, then scan and export the supported items you need.
I only want certain contacts, messages or photos instead of restoring everything
Selective recovery
SupportedScan results are organized by category and can be previewed before export, so individual recoverable items can be selected instead of restoring a complete backup.
I need call history or Safari history from a recent iPhone
iOS 13+ encrypted scan condition
ConditionalThe current guide states that on iOS 13 or later, some categories such as call history, FaceTime data and Safari history can require an Encrypted Scan when there is no encrypted iTunes backup.
My iPhone is lost, stolen or too damaged to connect
No usable device connection
ConditionalDirect-device recovery needs a usable connection. If the phone cannot be connected and trusted, the practical recovery path is an accessible iTunes or iCloud backup that already contains the missing data.
I want the recovered files back on the computer in usable formats
Export after recovery
SupportedSupported export formats include CSV, HTML, VCF, ICS, common image formats, audio and video formats depending on the recovered data type.
I expect every deleted file to be recoverable
Recovery certainty
Not guaranteedRecovery software can only return data that is still recoverable from the device or present in a usable backup. This page does not treat the vendor's success-rate marketing as a guarantee for every loss scenario.
How It Works
Start with the source that is most likely to contain the missing data: the connected device, a local iTunes backup or iCloud.
Recover Data Directly from an iPhone
- Open AnyMP4 iPhone Data Recovery and choose Recover from iOS Device.
- Connect the iPhone with a USB cable, unlock it and approve the Trust prompt when required.
- Select Start Scan, then browse the supported data categories after the scan finishes.
- Preview the items you need, select them and use Recover to save them to the computer.
Recover from an iTunes Backup
- Choose Recover from iTunes Backup File.
- Select the backup stored on the computer that is most likely to contain the missing data.
- Scan the backup, preview the supported categories and select only the files you want to export.
- Use Recover to save the selected items to the computer.
Recover from iCloud
- Choose Recover from iCloud and sign in with the relevant Apple ID.
- Complete two-factor authentication when Apple requests a verification code.
- Select the available backup or supported data category and start the scan.
- Preview the results and recover the required items to the computer.
Product Interface & Workflow
The recovery interface is organized around the source first, then a category list for previewing and selecting the files to export.
Choose the Recovery Source
The main decision is whether to scan the connected iOS device, a local iTunes backup or iCloud. Using the correct source avoids scanning data that cannot contain the missing item.
Preview by Data Category
After scanning, supported categories appear in the left panel while the selected category's details appear in the main preview area. That layout is useful when you only want a few contacts, messages, photos or notes rather than a complete export.
Export to the Computer
Recovered items are saved to a folder on the Windows PC or Mac. The output format depends on the data category, such as CSV/VCF for contacts, HTML/CSV for messages, ICS for calendars and standard media formats for photos, audio or video.
Compatibility & Coverage
The current technical references cover modern Windows and Mac systems plus a wide range of iPhone, iPad and iPod hardware, but the available recovery categories vary by source.
| Area | Current documented coverage | Buyer note |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | Windows 11 / 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7 | 1GHz Intel/AMD CPU or above and 1GB RAM or more. |
| Mac | Mac OS X 10.7 or later | 1GHz Intel processor or Apple M-series chip and 1GB RAM or more. |
| iOS | iOS 6.0 or later | The current references include recent iPhone generations as well as older supported models. |
| iPadOS | iPadOS 13 or later | iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air and iPad Pro families are included in the supported-device tables. |
| Direct iOS scan | Up to 20 supported data types | The exact recoverable categories depend on the device, iOS version and what data remains available. |
| iTunes / iCloud backup | Supported text and media categories from available backups | Backup-based recovery only sees data stored in the selected backup; some photo recovery is documented as thumbnail-only in the technical reference. |
Features & Capabilities
The useful feature set is less about one large restore button and more about choosing the right source, previewing what is actually available and exporting only the records you need.

Important Conditions & Limitations
The main limits come from the source itself: direct-device recovery needs a usable connection, backup recovery only sees what was backed up, and some categories have extra encryption or export conditions.
A Direct Scan Requires a Usable iOS Device Connection
For Recover from iOS Device, the iPhone must be connected by USB and trusted on the computer. If the device cannot connect or unlock, use an available iTunes or iCloud backup instead.
A Backup Cannot Contain Data That Was Never Backed Up
The iTunes and iCloud modes inspect an existing backup. If the missing item was never stored in that backup, selecting a different recovery mode or backup is necessary.
Encrypted Backups and Some Recent-iOS Categories Need Extra Access
Encrypted iTunes backups require the backup password. The current guide also says that on iOS 13 or later, call history, FaceTime data and Safari history may require an Encrypted Scan when no encrypted iTunes backup exists.
Some Photo Recovery Can Be Thumbnail-Only
The current technical reference notes thumbnail-only recovery for some photo cases in its supported-files table. Do not assume every recovered photo will always be available as the original full-resolution file.
Recovery Is Not Guaranteed for Every Deleted Item
Whether a deleted file can be recovered depends on what remains accessible on the device or in a backup. The vendor publishes a success-rate claim, but this page does not turn that marketing figure into a guarantee for individual cases.
Free Trial / Free Version
AnyMP4 provides free-download installers for both Windows and Mac. The current guide says the trial and PRO versions differ and that registration is required for the full feature set.
| Trial point | Current documented status | Purchase relevance |
|---|---|---|
| Windows download | Free Download is available | Use the Windows build to confirm device detection and the scan workflow before buying. |
| Mac download | Free Download is available | Use the Mac build when the paid licence will be for macOS. |
| Full feature access | Registration required | The user guide states that registration with the purchase email and code is required for full features. |
| Public trial-limit table | No complete standalone limit table identified on the current pages reviewed | Use the free build to inspect the current in-app trial/PRO comparison instead of assuming a specific recovery quota. |
| Money-back period | 30 days | The current product page advertises a 30-day money-back period for paid licences. |

The current Windows and Mac technical references publish the desktop requirements as well as the supported iOS and iPadOS baseline.
